The Office of Sustainability is proud to partner with the following USF research centers, offices, and student activist groups to promote sustainable, healthy communities at USF and beyond.
Sections
American Water Works Association
Mission: to provide a bridge between the students of the University of South Florida, the Florida Section of the AWWA, and the public and private entities related to drinking water, through education, networking, and professional development.
Alliance of Concerned Students
Mission: to explore and advocate for alternative education, alternative media, and resource management and sustainability.
Botanical Gardens
Mission: to foster appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of our natural and cultural botanical heritage through living plant collections, displays, education, and research.
Bicycle Club At USF
Mission: to promote safe cycling and will pertain to all aspects of cycling including but not limited to commuting, touring, touring events, recreational riding, bicycle safety equipment, racing, racing events, volunteering for community bicycle events, and proper bicycle maintenance.
Botanical Gardens Club - Friends Of The Garden
Mission: to provide a link between the USF Botanical Gardens and the student body, to provide opportunities in volunteerism and research to USF students, to help in the maintenance of the Botanical Gardens, and to raise awareness of the Botanical Gardens among students.
Center for Urban Transportation Research
Mission: to serve as a resource for policymakers, transportation professionals, the education system, and the public by providing high quality, objective transportation research.
Clean Energy Research Center
Mission: to develop, evaluate and promote commercialization of new environmentally clean energy sources and systems such as hydrogen, fuel cells, solar energy conversion, biomass utilization, etc., that meet the needs of the electric power and the transportation sector through multi-disciplinary research, technical and infrastructure development and information transfer.
Emerging Green Builders
Mission: to create a mutually beneficial relationship among USF students, the Tampa Bay community, and local business leaders in the area of green building and sustainability.
Engineers For A Sustainable World
Mission: to engage a multidisciplinary group at the University of South Florida in actively reducing poverty by improving environmental, social, and economic sustainability worldwide.
Engineers Without Borders
Mission: to partner with developing communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life.
Facilities Planning And Construction
Mission: to provide leadership through comprehensive, professionally based management services in the development of university facilities and a collegial environment conducive to research, education and community service.
Florida Water Environment Association
Mission: to protect Florida's clean water environment by serving, supporting, and uniting water quality professionals through public education, professional development, and promotion of sound public policy.

Mission: to inspire, educate, and equip individuals to use the power of business to create a more socially and environmentally sustainable world.
New North Transportation Alliance
Mission: to improve transportation to the highest level for all travelers in the New North area.
Outdoor Club
Mission: to engage students with the environment through outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, kayaking, boogie boarding, surfing, and other outdoor recreation activities. Through these recreational activities we can help students become aware of wildlife and conservation efforts as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.
Physical Plant
Mission: to maintain and improve a physical environment conducive to teaching, learning, and research.
Student Chapter Of Environmental Professionals
Mission: to provide a forum for students, faculty, and staff with varied backgrounds to exchange information, ideas, and experiences on environmental issues.
Student Community Gardens At USF
Mission: to allow students and faculty the opportunity to directly contribute to the re-localization of food production. USFCG promises to be a hands on student organization pursuing local, healthy food throughout the Tampa Bay area. In order to pursue this, members of the organization will be committed to the founding of a student run community garden. USFCG will also work with our food service providers to challenge them to begin using as many local, sustainable, and ethical sources of food as they can by working on the Real Food Challenge.
Student Environmental Association
Mission: to educate the community about the environment and work towards making USF more environmentally-friendly.
Students In Free Enterprise
Mission: to serve members of the community through educational outreach projects that embody social, economic, environmental, personal, ethical, and sustainable change.
Student Protecting Animals And The Environment Through Knowledge
Mission: to educate and promote awareness of animal issues and how the raising of animals for food affects the environment, and to educate people on the health and environmental benefits of a vegetarian diet.
