Patel College at Sustainatopia Conference

Members of The Patel College of Global Sustainability attended Sustainatopia 2012 in Miami, FL April 23-April 25. Sustainatopia is a three-day conference focusing on impact investing and included a side conference on Haiti.
Patel College Executive Director Dr. Vairavamoorthy was featured on a panel titled “Water, Water Everywhere” along with Bartlojmiej Jan Skorupa from GroundWork Opportunities. Bessie Skoures moderated the panel that covered topics from water infrastructure to point-of-use water systems.
A member of the audience tweeted about the discussion of a bottom up approach versus a bottom down approach to changing water policy and solving water issues.
The conference had 600 registrants and included an awards ceremony honoring those making significant contributions in the field of sustainability.
