Angel Acevedo

Angel Acevedo is currently a student at USF double majoring in Finance and Accounting. He is currently a sophomore and his expected graduation date is 2014. Angel is originally from Miami, where he graduates as the high school valedictorian. He aspires to be an investment banker or a stockbroker.
He is currently involved in the USF Rowing team, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Director of Operations for USF’s Investors and Traders Society, ALPFA (Association for Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting).

Bessie Skoures overseas PSGS marketing, communications and outreach activities, including special global and education outreach initiatives. She joined the Patel Center for Global Solutions as Special Assistant to former Executive Director Betty Castor. Previously, she was Deputy Director of the Term Member Program at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York. Prior to that, she worked at Human Rights Watch in New York and Brussels. She has also served as an Adjunct Instructor at USF. She is a member of the Tampa Bay Area Committee on Foreign Relations and an executive member of the Praxis Haiti Board of Directors. Bessie received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her M.A. from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. She is fluent in French and Greek.

With over 10 years of both financial and human resources management experience, Marie joins the Center to oversee HR, payroll, budget and grants obligations. She received her Bachelor’s in Mathematics at CUNY’s City College of New York.

Randall Pape received his B.S. in Information Studies from Florida State University where he specialized in marketing and creative advertising. He received his M.B.A. from the University of South Florida, where he was also the Graduate and Professional Student Council President. He has been involved in sustainability issues at USF since 2004. He is a performance-driven sustainability consultant, executive and ecopreneur with over 15 years of strategic and tactical leadership across a broad range of industries where his abilities added significant value to the bottom line. He has provided strategic, marketing and technical consulting expertise in numerous capacities and is recognized for superior abilities to identify and reengineer inefficiencies and processes to improve the organizational structure.
Robert Armstead

Robert Armstead is a Special Advisor for the Patel School of Global Sustainability. Robert’s role is to advise PSGS on market trends and potential commercial partnership opportunities for achieving its goals. Robert is additionally employed as Manager of Public Affairs and Corporate Sustainability for WRScompass, an environmental engineering and construction company, with over 600 employees based in Tampa, Florida. His role to further sustainable practices within WRScompass’s daily operations and to capture the benefits this program offers its employees, its customers, and the environment. Robert has previously served as the Federal Policy Director for the Florida Conservation Alliance Institute. Prior to this position, Robert was the US Southern Region Lead Projects Manager for The Climate Group, an International nonprofit organization which specialized in Fortune 500 outreach for attaining process efficiencies and mitigation of greenhouse gases.

Susan MacDonald is the Program Administrative Coordinator for the office. She received an A.A. in Business Administration from the University of South Florida, a B.A. in Business Administration/Finance from Eckerd College, and an M.B.A. from Saint Leo University. She has advanced training in Federal OMB Financial Cost Accounting Compliance for contracts and grants, Oracle/PeopleSoft Enterprise (financial accounting/reporting, effort/cost reporting, GEMS, and Financial Mart), and leadership and information resource management. Since 1986, MacDonald has served in various capacities including the Deputy/Associate Director for the Foundation at USF in accounting, finance, and business management and has also worked in the private sector in the areas of marketing and financial services with Heritage Financial Services of Tampa Bay. She is a member of the National College and University Research Administrators, the Project Management Institute, and the Association of Financial Professionals.
Zaida Darley

Zaida Darley is the Sustainability Program Coordinator for the Office of Sustainability, managing the university’s Student Green Energy Fund. She received her B.A. (cum laude) and M.A. in Applied Anthropology, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from the University of South Florida. She is an environmental archaeologist, whose research interests include water management and the impacts of policy and decision-making processes on natural and cultural resources. Before joining the Office of Sustainability, Zaida served as Graduate Research Assistant and then Outreach Specialist for the Florida Public Archaeology Network – West Central Region, as Graduate Research Assistant for the USF Alliance for Integrated Spatial Technologies, and as Sole Proprietor of Darley Designs, where she served as a consultant for the design and development of residential and small commercial buildings.
